Cost of Global Volunteer Conference

Unfortunately there are no grants, scholarships or financial assistance available from USAGSO-West Pacific for this conference. Check with your location and/or your OC to see if there are additional funds available for adult learning opportunities.

The cost of the conference includes the registration fee, opening evening reception, workshops, breakfast on Saturday and a sit down dinner on Saturday with a live auction, breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

$175 Full Conference (payment made between March 1 - April 15)
$30 Friday evening Reception Only
$50 Saturday evening Dinner and Auction only
$80 Friday evening reception / Saturday evening dinner
$15 Sunday Annual Meeting Luncheon

Additional costs to you would include travel, lodging and drinks Friday evening and Saturday evening.

Saturday Evening Dinner and Auction

Each year one of the highlights of the Volunteer Conference is our annual auction. All auction items are donated by West Pacific Girl Scout volunteers, committee members, OCCs, previous Girl Scout members, staff members, Japanese Girl Scouts and anyone else that would like to help support USAGSO-West Pacific Girl Scouts with the donation of an item. If you would like to donate an item(s) please contact Patti at westpacificdmmmj@gmail.com

All of the items will be available for preview prior to dinner on Saturday. Some of the items will be available through a "silent auction" and others will be from the floor following dinner with the items going to the highest bidders.

All proceeds from the live and silent auction go right back into the USAGSO-West Pacific Girl Scouts through programs, scholarships, grants and camp opportunities.

We thank you in advance for your support. Our last auction brought in $4306.75, thanks to many generous contributors and bidders!

Yokosuka Navy Base Information

Rooms have been reserved and if you request orders for lodging you will be added to the list of available rooms, however there are limited rooms and at this point we cannot guarantee any room for anyone. As soon as confirmation is made you will be notified.

There is a shuttle service on the base and taxi service.

Space A flights come into Atsugi and Yokota, both are train rides away from Yokosuka.

Local Airports - Narita and Haneda. There is a base shuttle to Yokosuka from Narita, you would need to contact Yokosuka for more information.

Atsugi Naval Air Base, Zama Army Base and Yokota Air Force Base are each about an hour train ride from Yokosuka Navy Base. The New Sanno (lodging) is also about an hour train ride from Yokosuka. From Narita Airport each base offers a shuttle and you would need to contact each base for their specific information to catch their shuttle. Yokota's shuttle also stops at the New Sanno.
