	The Girl Scout Leadership Experience The Girl Scout Leadership Experience engages girls in discovering self, connecting with others, and taking action to make the world a better place. Discover, Connect, and Take Action are the three keys to Leadership. Discover: Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world. Connect: Girls care about, inspire, and team with others locally and globally. Take Action: Girls act to make the world a better place. In Girl Scouting, Discover + Connect + Take Action = Leadership. Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scouts' membership has grown from 18 members in Savannah, Georgia, to 3.7 million members throughout the United States, including U.S. territories, and in more than 90 countries through USA Girl Scouts Overseas. Daisy Girl Scouts (Age 5-6) Brownie Girl Scouts (Age 6-8) Junior Girl Scouts (Age 8-11) Girl Scouts 11-17 Click here to download Daisy Girl Scouts meet in groups of five or ten. There are two or more adult leaders who provide a nurturing and inclusive environment. They go on trips, learn about nature and science, and explore the arts as well as their communities. Daisy Girl Scouts also earn Learning Petals and receive participation patches.
