YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea - United States Army Garrison-Yongsan Command Sgt. Maj. Ralph J. Rusch joins Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers and Yongsan Girl Scouts on the steps of the United Nations Command June 11. BOSS presented a check for $1500 to the Girl Scouts in exchange for more than 7,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies which were distributed to Soldiers. "Everybody smiles when they see Girl Scout cookies, so we partnered with the Girl Scouts and passed out cookies to Soldiers walking around post and sitting at CQ [charge of quarters] desks," said USAG-Yongsan BOSS leader Sgt. Byron McGainey. BOSS hopes to increase community partnerships this year as part of their outreach program, he says. |
