Why Girl Scout Camp?

Sending your daughter, or any girl you care about, to resident camp is one of the most positive choices in supporting her personal development!  Did you know that there is strong, scientific research that suggests when girls attend camp they:

  • become more confident and increase self-esteem
  • develop personal and social skills to make new friends and try new things
  • build courage and character to become more independent and adventurous
  • demonstrate leadership qualities

At Girl Scout camp we use activities and group living to create a community that nurtures girls.  Our campers interact with positive role models who take the time to listen, talk, relax, and reflect with the girls.  In our supportive environment, girls learn to work together, make choices, take responsibility, develop creative skils, build independence and self-reliance, and gain confidence--all while having fun!
