WEST PACIFIC TRAINERS


	Trainer Description Purpose Deliver Training courses in assigned areas based upon the expressed needs of course participants. Accountabilities Participates in pre-course planning and preparation work with the course training team Delivers assigned course content, utilizing adult education techniques and methods as outlined in training course outlines Participates in post-course evaulation process with course training team Completes certification process for Girl Scout trainers during the first term of appointment (Apprentice Trainer for a minimum of 18 months) Maintains trainer certification by participating in training update courses and/or workshops Assists USA Girl Scouts Overseas - West Pacific Girl Scouts (USAGO-WP) in meeting training goals and objectives Completes and submits training reports to USAGO-WP in a timely manner (2 weeks after course) Qualifications Is a registered member of the Girl Scouts of the USA Has demonstrated interest and skills in adult education theory and techniques Knows (or is willing to learn) body of knowledge contained in training outlines and willing to deliever training courses as needed/requested An ability to work with people of all racial, ethic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds Forms Train the Trainer Course Registration Application Reference Letter Transfer to USAGSO-WP Apprentice Trainer Experience Trainer Master Trainer Train the Trainers Course Adults who successfully complete this course will be appointed as Apprentice trainers and train on behalf of USAGSO-West Pacific for a mutually agreed upon number of courses or period of time. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Recommendations are made to the Director of Membership & Marketing/Adult Learnng Manager. Potential trainer candidates complete the required application and references and then are interviewed prior to completing the course. The Director of Membership & Marketing/Adult Learning Manager appoints all trainers. Please give the reference form and a stamped envelope addressed to West Pacific Girl Scouts, APO AP 96343-5005 to each reference. The references should be mailed within two weeks of receipt.
