All You Need is a GIRL!
Recently we had a staff member go to the Girl Scout Leadership Institue in Indianapolis, Indiana. There was a total of 23 girls representing 10 different countries, both USAGSO and WAGGGS. Countries represented were: Kenya, Ecuador, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, UK, Korea, Japan and Singapore. Lifelong friends were made, and together the girls learned how they can work to make a difference in their own community and for girls around the world. Consider the possibility of hosting a leadership institute in your own area. When girls from different cultures connect, they find so much in common. For information on where to start, look no further than your own girls. A committee of girls can plan the event!
